Lynne Bernabei, a partner of the firm, has accepted an invitation to be on the Board of Trustees of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. The Lawyers' Committee is a non-partisan, non-profit organization formed in 1963 at the request of John F. Kennedy to secure equal justice under the law. Its primary focus is to represent the interests of minorities and prevent discrimination and racial injustice. There are only 250 Board of Trustees members, representing the original number of lawyers asked to the White House in 1963 by President Kennedy. As a member of the Board, Ms. Bernabei will be helping to find pro bono legal representation for civil rights clients, participating in Board meetings and doing fund-raising for the non-profit organization.
